ARS Metals Ltd. was started in the year 1992 at Chennai. The company made its debut in steel products manufacturing arena as a producer of MS castings. After two decades of steady growth now it stands as one of the most revered and largest steel manufacturing companies in Southern India.

Both the furnaces were upgraded in 2003 - 2004, which increased the installed capacity to 48,000 MT/annum to produce MS Billets.

By 2005, ARS metals had become highly popular among the steel industries and manufacturers of South India. The wide spread acceptance from the TMT bar manufacturers and steel billet manufacturers throughout Southern India gave the impetus to launch its own automatic rolling mill forward integration having an installed capacity of 108,000 MT/annum of rolled products. The company had by then installed the latest equipments and had built up sophisticated infrastructure for its R&D and Quality Assurance departments.

Considering the present demand for quality steel products in the country along with growing popularity of the company and also the loyal patronage of the clients, ARS metals is now contemplating a major expansion program. The new furnace, for manufacturing MS billets, was commissioned in February 2010 and is expected to add about 108,000 MT/annum to the existing production capacity.

At present ARS metals has grown into a full-fledged integrated steel plant. Apart from obtaining ISO 9002 certification, ARS metals now stands as one of the largest single integrated mill in the whole of Southern India. ARS metals ranks on top among the few quality conscious steel manufacturing units in South India.
